I wasn't into pop music as a teenager in the 60s, although I pretended to like the Beatles for the sake of appearances! I met Cliff Richard when he was on a private holiday once, and he seemed an ok guy. My parents invited him to their dinner party about 10 years or so later, and really rated him. I was by then living in the UK so didn't meet him on that occasion. His music was ok but I could take it or leave it.

Ray Davies from The Kinks is on the TV at the moment reminiscing and he is one of my favourites from the sixties. He is still a lovely gentle man, very talented and intelligent with a great sense of humour. Who do you remember.

I suppose the 60s were/was? a huge decade for many of us. I was at primary school when they started and had smoked my first `joint` before they ended.Saw the Beatles in 1963 ,and then later the music of Pink Floyd one day-top of the pops the next. Hendrix one day, Small Faces the next.
I suppose it was the early 70s before I really appreciated the music heritage of the 60s-but this will always be in my memory.
