Sebastian de Ferranti

Died recently at 88 years old. Ferranti were major players in heavy electrical and electronics, but the firm is no longer with us. I worked at Ferranti, Bracknell with military radar systems.
I think Basil de Ferranti is still alive. RIP Sebastian.

I worked in the Ferranti Computer Department in London in 1960. I won’t say that I met Basil but he did once make some remark to me. I’m not sure now but it might have been something on the lines that the lift is rather slow in coming.
