Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Did a bit of gardening first thing, before it got too hot and then frightened a few spiders upstairs in the cool. Changed my bed too, looking forward to getting into that tonight. Just off to Craft Club now.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Shot down to Hay first thing to pick up some paint for Church and discovered that Hay Festival is looming large in the city! The place was heaving at 9 am in the morning - it took me 10 minutes to get across the road! Won't be going back there until it's all over.

Took Rob shopping and lunching in Morrisons, Leominster, peaceful and a lovely sunny day eventually and I've just planted my runner beans into the tubs on the patio.

Raining a bit this morning-saves watering the garden.
Took my dog back to the vet yesterday, medicine for another month.Vet wants to see him again next month.
You're right Sue-best to keep away from places when there are "things" going on.
Have a good day.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I've had a busy morning . Had to go to Doc just for a review, he thought I looked much better !! I then took my watch to be made smaller and shoes to be repaired (haven't had shoes repaired since a child) . I then walked around to the hairdressers where my daughter works and had a sit-down there and then all the way back . Its the most I've done for a while so now knackered lol. No rain here yet but looks a bit grey

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Did something really daft today. Went down to Hay Festival to do a bucket collection for the Air Ambulance (and paid £5 for Park and Ride) only to stand at the entrance for an hour - alone. No-one else turned up. Got home and phoned the organiser, only to realise that I was 24 hours early. Duh! Talk about a senior moment.....

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Morning started off dry but now it's pouring down.
This village is usually quiet but yesterday afternoon there was a police helicopter circling quite low for quite a while.Learnt thro the grapevine later that there was a robbery and the culprit had done a runner and was dangerous hence the police on the ground and in the air.Don't know if he was caught-hope so.
No plans for the Bank Holiday.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

How exciting Rhosyn, did they catch him?

Went to Church first thing this morning and arrived home just as the rain started. Boy did it rain! We had a few rumbles of thunder but didn't see any lightening. Went on for ages and I had to put the heating on! Then it all cleared up mid afternoon and the sun is cracking the flags now.....
