Please.. Get Out Of My Face!!

Why do some people do it?
I met a friend, l hadn’t seen for a while in town today. Next thing, she’s telling me a story and her face is almost right on my nose!
I feel myself backing off a bit and she’s following with her face nearly on mine, still rattling away!

A few people do this to me and l’m not sure why they have to be so close and invade my personal space?

Do you find some people do this? Why the need? Maybe, you don’t mind your personal space being invaded?

Tara, How do you deal with it? Do you tell them or, just sort of subtlety back off as l do?

I back off, fortunately it doesn't happen that often.

Muddy, It’s funny you should say that but the night before, my daughter had cooked me the most delicious fish dish with lots of garlic and tomatoes. I think, l was a bit concerned that my friend would smell the garlic!!

I am long sighted and can't focus on people when they are too close to me so I step backwards.

I really can't stand people coming to close to me ,,,
I back away all the time ..
Yet for some reason .. people are always grabbing my arm or
hugging me .. they can't leave me alone ...

I believe there should be a law , you have to stand a certain distance
away from people when you talk to them ...
