Well........her husband is currently working in L.A. and there's rumour that she will relocate out there so there's the distinct possibility she'll become a "movie star", especially as the Americans seem to like the Brits.

But....as for being an icon like Marilyn, I don't know, there's much more competition these days and fame can be fleeting.

I watched Officiers and Gentleman on a plane .
The final scene where Richard Gere takes her out of the factory was so romantic I started to cry !
The woman sat next to me thought it was so funny !
