Whips

I don't very often eat chocolate, but yesterday I bought, what I thought was Walnut Whips, only to find there were NO walnuts!!!!
What next? Cadburys whole nut without the nuts!
Turkish Delight, without the delight.

I got a pack for Christmas and was very disappointed. It nearly ruined my Christmas.

The cost of walnuts!!!!!

The high prices of California walnuts combined with a U.S. dollar that has strengthened significantly in Canada, Europe, Japan and other markets have also contributed to the reduction in export sales.

Tesco Walnut Halves
(250g)
£3.50
£1.40 / 100g

Thanks for the link Floydy. Some Numptess actually blamed Brexit.

I reckon Fender will be moving abroad sooner than planned.

Take them back to the shop SP (if you haven't already eaten them) and say you were conned into thinking they had walnuts and demand a full refund. If everyone did that the commie b******s would soon stick a nut on top.

I'm just wondering if the packaging says: May contain nuts.

Re: Whips

Mmm ... a minty whip sounds nice .. even nutless. Might keep my eye open for them.

A coffee one would be nicer.

They used to do a coffee one didn't they. Why not buy a bag of walnuts then super glue them on the top?

Lol

I used to love those coffee flavoured ones.
I think it's all part of those ongoing marketing plans that companies and supermarkets have to take things out or reduce the size of something and charge more for the privilege of doing so.

They probably still make them with a walnut on then take it off to gain extra revenue for their "costs". Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Or perhaps it's our nanny state again employing tall skinny bespectacled nerds in white coats trying to tell us that nuts are worse for us than they have ever been before.

It's all the LGBT brigade's fault.
