Re: Spoil your ballot paper.

I spoilt my vote in the last local elections - 'None of the above' and was proud to do so. I don't see it as a knockback for those that gave their lives in wars, I see it as preserving what they fought for - Britain.

Our current politicians are a bunch of self-serving scum bags who couldn't give a toss about the Country they are supposed to represent. I often wonder if those soldiers could see what a ridiculous Country we have turned into, whether they would bother to fight for it. None of the current politicians are good enough to represent those who died.

A futile gesture that will make not one iota of difference.

I also agree with the above part of your post.
But spoiling my voting paper is something I would never do.

Re: Spoil your ballot paper.

Sometimes we have to think in terms of voting for the lesser of all the evils on offer.

For me, the biggest evil is Corbyn.
Then next there's Swinson.

There's now only one who is going anywheer near what I want to get to. That's Boris.

At least he'll get us partly out!

Once partly out we "might" be able to use democracy to work on whatever's still aiming to keep us trapped.

Staying in means Brexit will be gone for ever - or even longer!

A couple of years ago, some of us, on here, talked about "spoiling your voting slip", as a plan.

Having seen what we've seen, of the way MPs think and operate, I don't think they'd take the message on board.

Re: Spoil your ballot paper.

Spoiling my ballot paper is something I would never do , how could I possibly complain to or about my MP if I hadn't even bothered to vote.

Sometimes just a few votes can make all the difference to one candidate or another being elected and we saw how close the voting was in parliment for some bills in recent days.

I may not like many of the current politicians but I see it as my duty to register a vote for the least worst.
My worst nightmare is a Corbyn government and I will do anything I can to prevent it and that includes voting for an opposing party.

Re: Spoil your ballot paper.

In my constituency l have been struggling for a couple of
months to locate a brexit party candidate for me to vote for?
Then last week Nigel announced he would cotest all the seats
available to stand in, and l thought my search would be over!
Now he has retracted that and l am back to square one,( nobody
to vote for).
I am now totally pissed off, especially as there is media pressure
to get the brexit party to basically completely withdraw from the
coming election??
What is my, and others like me's recourse?
Should we add our own brexit party choice to our ballot paper
by writing BREXIT PARTY with a box to put your cross in, at the
bottom of the ballot??
What other options are available to us?
I might add that l dont accept that voting tory is a valid vote for
LEAVE!

To a number of replies to this thread.

IF you spoil your ballot paper it is a Vote which is recorded.

If 20% of people did it it might wake up the these political morons

Re: Spoil your ballot paper.

The electorate have to scrutinise and challenge MP's, as never before. Watching Boris now touring flooded areas, it is clear that is their Achilles heel, having to face angry people who want straightforward answers.
