Azz asbestos was only banned for homes in 1999. So you have to wear a mask if you are taking things off like lagging and even old wall paper in a old house. That's what is so awful about it.
Hope it was just dust but for any more things around your house please wear a mask.

Yes, I had one of these in a previous house, but it was on the outside of the wall rather than inside. Can't be much fun cleaning it from the inside...
