Do you know, I think you're right Patsy, it IS Alexander. Silly me. I've just slapped me legs.
I'll tell you something now though, what you say about feeling your mothers emotions is true. Same in the animal world.
One of my dogs is a very different nature to the others. They are all the same family, and all brought up the same, in the same environment, but this one is a nervous little soul and is very frightened of strange dogs.
I have tried my best to help her over this, and at one point got a behaviourist in to her, who was recommended by my vet.
To cut a long story short, when she discovered my dog's mother was badly attacked by an aggressive Staffie when she was heavily pregnant, she said straight away, that the pups would have felt their mother's fear.
She said the same can happen with pregnant humans as well. The fear 'hormones' are carried through the placenta.
So I believe that explains why my poor Liffey is like she is.
