There is a contradictio in terminis here bread. As the house of lords is part of the parliament, how can they put a bill through parliament, through themselves?
Like I stated twice now, a bill can start its passage through parliament in either house. So if you cannot understand the answer, don't ask the question.

In post 46 your question was: why do you think the lords are putting the fisheries bill through parliament though?
In post 53 I answered that question by pointing out the contradictio in terminis of the house of lords putting a bill through themselves.

Now you change it to the lords originating a bill. I will take it to mean starting its passage through parliament. As I have pointed out several times now a bill can start in either house.

If you are not able to grasp this, sorry, but then I can't help you.

Just answer my question - why do you think the Lords are putting through parliament?

Well ????
Oh, that one is easily answered. Because the parliament act 2011 says that's what the house of lords is supposed to do with a bill during it's passage.

Can you stop your childish questioning now?

Hi

Nope, I post facts with links to Government Sites, not biased sites.

Re: Lords Reject UK Fisheries Bill

The big thing I want to know is this, why are any fish caught in our waters automatically the property of Europe, but any illegals in dinghies are automatically the property of the UK? How about we keep our fish and they keep their illegal migrants, that seems fair in my eyes.
