I don't know when it first came out, but I do remember being about 12 or 13 when I heard girls (in the girls' school next door) singing it all the time.

I suppose that would put it about 1964 or 1965.

1963 it came out.

I've not been able to stop singing it today. It's just one of those songs that catches you somehow - well it does for me anyway
