To Pierce, or Not to Pierce: That is the Question

After more than a half century on the planet, I am thinking about getting my ears pierced.

The only downsides I see are the inconvenience of having one more thing to add to my daily routine, keeping track of them, or forgetting to take them out when I surf.

Thoughts?

I had mine done when I was a baby, so no idea if it hurt or not. It does give far more scope for earrings as they make many more for pierced ears than not.

I'd say if you love earrings go for it just don't do what my late niece did and get that big at the top of your ear done she said that really hurt !

I had my ears pierced when I was 18 and fainted in the jewlers

I don't bother with earrings these days, Chloe is my main companion and isn't bothered what I wear.

I had mine done in the back of my Ford Transit (parked by the side of Lake Bala) when I was 21 - my girlfriend used a needle and a cork .....

No anaesthetic but whisky for sterilisation (and courage ..... ) .....

I had mine pierced at 17, didn't hurt at all

Ear rings are the only jewellery I wear other then my wedding band

Get some good gold sleepers. They are small hoops that you can sleep and swim in - so assume you can surf. Keep the diamonds for going out

I was 50 when I had my ears pierced, persuaded by my daughter ..... best advice she has ever given me

My granddaughter wanted her ears done because most of the girls in her class had theirs pierced. My daughter and I took her to the jewellers, she had her ears pierced and she immediately fainted.
