Half term and look at the weather

We had plans for this week, involving various local attractions, but it's tipping down and really cold. And Grace has a cold.

Obviously wasn't meant to be Thorpe park will have to wait.

So jigsaws, colouring and card games it is.

Got a box set of waltons mountain for us too.

Some nice walks with the dogs to punctuate the day and we are set for a semi duvet day today.

We have had snow , snow and more snow

We even had thunder and lightning whilst it snowed

On the days it doesn't snow, it rains

A duvet day sounds perfect

I didn't realise it was half term. That explains why it's suddenly got busy around here.

Re: Half term and look at the weather

Yesterday I walked along the beach in warm sunshine , yes a cold wind but the sun was lovely

This morning it's pelting down has been all night , just chased my green bin , green box and food bin up the road as it spilled the contents as it blew . Embarrassing as I picked up my wine bottles as I chased the green box up the road !

Re: Half term and look at the weather

Half term varies.
I have just taken my 2 little darlings to school. Their half term is next week.

Hoping for better weather as I will be having them a lot and have planned a few outdoor activities.
Fingers crossed..

Sorry about the lousy weather for you Julie.

Hope weathers better for you carol. I don't mind getting wet or going out in the cold but the combination of the two is just unpleasant.

Re: Half term and look at the weather

Our local half term is next week!
You know it’s half term as there are no parking places in the town centre and the supermarkets full of kids running around!
It’s worse when their mothers let them take charge of the shopping trolley, as they seem to go out of control and crash into the back of your heels!

Re: Half term and look at the weather

I feel your pain arti, local sainsburys decided a couple of years ago to introduce toddlers trolleys that were just right size for 3-7 year olds, they were a real menace, phased out thankfully because seeing a small child zooming toward you was a scary sight.
