Nobody appears to have mentioned the other 'reason' for which Leap Years are known – it's so that those men who find it 'difficult to make a commitment' can be asked outright!

I feel sorry for the peeps born on Feb 29 - they only have a birthday once every 4yrs.

Yes, but just think that when they are 80 they are really only 'officially' 20! Not much fun when it comes to retirement though having to live to the ripe old age of about 260 until you can claim your state Pension!

That might please those who believe there are too many older people though, not many would reach that age so pension costs would be less!
