Re: A Poem-"The Over 50's Forum"

When I first set out this
poem,I made a set of rules,
I made them very simplified
to subjugate the fools!

the rules were made in simple
form,so quieter folk partake,
of other members hidden lives,
do not the rules forsake!

Billy-Stick to the bloody rules?

Am I in the Over 50's Forum? or have i been super teleported to the bloody Dementia Forum,8 lines each or it just upsets the flow, there are a thousand places here to post your personal stuff,so stick to the rules of the thread,i based the rules on the percieved IQ of the members,an aggregate,I was wrong,I should of lowered the "I don't understand bar"!

There you go then: it's your own fault.

If I'm going to write rhyme on a rhyming thread then I'll write in a way that suits me, not you.

If you don't like the way forum members behave on this forum then bugger off and start your own forum where you can lay down what rules you like.

Glad the rest of you liked it - I don't often venture in Robert's or Spitfire's territory - for good reason

Re: A Poem-"The Over 50's Forum"

There are thousands of places to write your stuff here, leave this thread for the people who think they cannot write poetry,it was set out to help people who have trouble expressing themselves, but it has to be hijacked by the selfish few who can,sad that!

And I am quite sure if this thread was anothers idea it would be accepted a little better, but it was aimed at the shy quieter members here,a form of expression for them, not for the "Illustrious Few"

Re: A Poem-"The Over 50's Forum"

I can not write a poem,
I can not write a rhyme.
I can not write a novel
'cos I just don't have the time!
So I'll write a little song,
A little lullaby.
It's just a little ditty
And isn't very long.

(You'll have to imagine it 'cos I used up my allowance )
