Re: Malaysia Smog!!

Anyone watching the malasian grand prix yesterday would
have bseen the manifestation of air pollution in that country
in the clarity of, ( or lack of )? the TV coverage of the event??
It seems the so called far east has become the dirtiest
region on this planet?

Perhaps Greta Thunberg should concentrate her efforts there. It was the Singapore Grand Prix btw.

Re: Malaysia Smog!!

When we went to China and took an internal flight from Beijing to Zian we had 2 hour wait at the airport for the smog to clear enough to allow the plane to take off. That was about 10 years ago

typical day in Zian

Singapore broke away from Malaysia in 1965. It is one of only three independent city states in the world. The other two are Monaco and Vatican City.

Re: Malaysia Smog!!

The haze comes from illegal land clearing in Indonesia. Nothing to do with Singapore or Malaysia they are just affected by it.

BTW Singapore was a city in Malaya, it didn't become Malaysia until Sarawak and Sabah joined with peninsula Malaya to form Malaysia (and change time zone).

Malaya was never happy with the idea of a rich, Chinese dominated Singapore being the financial hub of the country, they could cope with the straits Chinese but not the Singaporian.
