Kitchen Rolls

While Kitchen rolls are very useful, such a lot is wasted
Why can't smaller ones be made?
Perhaps they would look too much like Toilet rolls?

Before the invention of Kitchen Rolls dish cloths were used and bleached daily to keep them germ free.

Re: Kitchen Rolls

I tend to use those J Cloth things for wiping down - they last quite a while before being relegated to the compost heap. For wahing up I use dish cloths that can be boiled.

Re: Kitchen Rolls

Actually there is a newish one that is just what your looking for. It's the one I use, I found it in Morrisons but I expect other Supermarkets will have it. It has extra perforations so you can get a half size sheet.

Yes, Silver Tabby, J Cloths are very good and unperfumed wet wipes good for carpet stains.

Thank you so much, Roxy.

I have just received my delivery from Morrisons, so I will know next time.

Re: Kitchen Rolls

I still use a cotton dishcloth which gets put into a small bowl of bleach at bed time (bought from Wilko) .

I do use kitchen rolls in moderation and buy the extra long rolls from Waitrose.

Re: Kitchen Rolls

Smaller ones are made. You get half the amount you used to get for the same price. Sainsbury's do sell a double sized pack which is actually normal size.

I bought the Sainsbury's double size pack last week, haven't started it yet so not sure yet if it will last longer than their usual ones or if we will use more of it!

I can remember when kitchen roll was so thick, it was difficult to pull off the wall holder.
