Photo alignment.

When I try to post a picture on a thread it appears horizontal. What can I do to correct this?

Change it to the right way in your computer before you post it here.

It is upright on my computer Tiffany. I have tried to turn it sideways but I don't know how.

Re: Photo alignment.

You need someone who is more capable than me to advise you. Ask a Mod for help or try Forum Help.

Re: Photo alignment.

Scott, Hopefully Gasman or Judd will be able to help you I should think, but there are a few good photographers on here that should know what to do.

Hang on till they log on if you can't find help in Forum help pages.

Re: Photo alignment.

I use a program called Imgur and it is free. However it may not be the easiest to use now it has been updated. It is also a photo storage site .

Why not try Flickr? When you join, you will need a Google account (easy to join) then you have an allowance of 1000 photos to store / share. Very easy to set up and use.

Re: Photo alignment.

Try this if you are using Windows 10:

Right-click on a photo file thumbnail. Choose either 'Rotate left' or 'Rotate Right' to put the image the right way up. If that doesn't work, you'd have to go further. There are lots of ways and programs to edit photos ..both online and with computer programs. Try this method though, it might be all that is needed.

Thanks all for your advice. I came late to computing so some some things are beyond me.
