Re: Defer

I'm deferring the kettle. The limescale has built up inside it.

Re: Defer

I've deferred getting a new car until next year. I'm undecided if I should get something posh or a small van like a SWB Transit Custom.

The van is more practical for me and financially makes sense as I can put it through the business, but I won't use it that much. The posh car is nicer and faster to drive but I'll scuff up the interior quickly with all the stuff I have to lug about for the band and fishing.

Strange you mention deferring Spitty.
Not at the moment, but I had one of the most deferring nights of my life last night up in the local.
Lady Kildare was doing the rounds of the pubs campaigning for her Daughter in the forthcoming general election and she stopped me in the lounge hallway just as I was leaving. There was just the two of us in the brightly lit hallway at the time.
While she was rabbiting on about her daughters virtues in her toffee nose voice I got a sudden unmerciful itch on my left buttock very close to the border line, I would have voted for the devil himself at that moment just to relieve the itch, but I had to defer it until she caught the eye of an influential ex headmaster coming in, and thankfully she leapt on him and abandoned me.
I stood in the dark archway next to the pub and scratched away to my hearts delight, while at the same time thanking the lord for small mercies.

Good idea. Those European cars will be ten-a-penny this time next year.

Re: Defer

I often have to bow my head in deference to my master. Does that count?
