Re: Which of the 5 senses?

I would hate to lose the sense of taste but to lose your eye sight would be by far the worst, I think.

It would have to be eyesight for me too. I also don't have a sense of smell most of the time and my hearing isn't brilliant either but the thought of not being able to see would fill me with dread.

Sight, absolutely! I would find it almost unbearable not to be able to read or use the computer.

I am with the majority - sight would be the hardest to lose. If you lost your sense of smell, doesn't taste go too? Two in one loss?

Interesting to note that no-one chose touch.

Re: Which of the 5 senses?

At the age I am now, and being addicted to reading, the loss of sight would be the worst to lose.
But if I was a child I think the loss of hearing might be the worst. I never realised before I got to know a familiy with a child born deaf, how lonely these children are, even within their families. No matter how much the family take care to include the deaf child, it's siblings has to be allowed to speak normally. And this leaves the deaf child out, not being able to take part in the stories and the laughing.

Eyesight with me as well........not being able to read a good book, having to rely on others for filling any forms in etc. etc. would get me down.......
