Mine is £4.50, pensioner's rate,at one of those really old shops full of character. Its a lot dearer elsewhere in town,if you like musak and more fancy surroundings.

The prices vary quite a bit around the country, don't they?!

Snap - Madmare same as me. I hate going to the hairdressers, not relaxing as it is supposed to be.
I have always cut my husband's hair - he hasn't been to a barber for over 40 years.

I pay £12.50 to have a trim-but I get a nice head massage after the wash from a sexy trainee and Kerry who cuts knows my innermost secrets.

Something for the weekend sir??-when I was 16/17 every one knew that `Lil` at the chippy would save young lads red faces and would slip one a packet of durex for 4 shillings

Re: Hair Cut Sir/Madam?

I had mine washed, cut and blow dried 2 weeks ago for £32 (I know!). Trouble was, all my highlights were gone so I booked up for them last week at £64. Hairdresser said that if I have it washed, cut and dried with the highlights I could have them at half-price. I said it doesn't need cutting so asked her not to. She insisted I would save money if I did so I agreed to a slight cut off my fringe. The bill was £64. I've been had, I can only presume they charged me for the haircut I didn't want, then halved the highlights which came to exactly the same! Not going there again!

That's outrageous Maryl. They don't do themselves any favours do they. Were you happy with the outcome though?
