Left or Right Side?

Heard this on the radio ...... Apparently a majority of women prefer sleeping on the left side of their husband in bed.

Equally, ladies prefer sleeping closest to the door.

(Very few couples 'mix & change') !



I do prefer the left side of hubby.

I prefer AWAY from the door!

My wife sleeps on my left side too, all our married life. I never gave it much thought 'till now, I wonder is it connected to a Woman walking on the inside of the Man when on the footpath?.

Before we decided on separate rooms about 10 years ago, I slept on the leftside of the bed nearest the door and the kids.

I always sleep on the left side of the old man regardless of where the door is.

Don't know why - it's just the way it is.

Yes, on the radio everyone was tending to agree ladies preferred the left side. Jemflux, the suggestion was put if it was related to walking on the left of a gentleman (so he could protect with a sword). But surely this is not an ingrained response is it?????

Everyone agreed that they never considered swapping places, and in fact would not feel comfortable if they did.

As Dancingsky mentioned, most women preferred being nearer the door because of easily reaching babies/children during the night.

Now I think of it, I always sleep on the left, even when in Hotels etc. on our holidays. Wonder if that is my feminine side?!
