Been for a Drive.

Hi

Used the car for the first time in over a month this morning.

A strange sensation, but great to get out.

It really needs a good long run, but not up to that at the moment.

Hi

It is a newish battery, less than 6 months old.

It was flat, had to get Green Flag out just before my last hospital stay.

It has been run, but not driven everyday since then just to keep it charged.

An expensive thing to do, trip computer shows 7.6 mpg.

Hi

The way the computer is set up.

Not moving but with engine running shows fuel being used but no mileage.

Are you okay to drive so soon after a heart attack Swimmy? I had to wait six weeks before taking to the road again and I was a self employed courier.... Thank God for a backlog of invoices outstanding....

Just got back from a 400 mile round trip, so I think my battery is charged.

Me too, though not as far - 600km round trip to visit kids and grandkids. Had a good weekend.

Even better it topped up the aux battery too.

Hi

Discharge letter from Stoke said 4 weeks.

So yes.

No discharge letter from Shrewsbury, so the Stoke one stands.

Re: Been for a Drive.

I take the car every day to get to wherever I'm going to walk the dog. I always go the long way round roughly ten - fifteen miles a day to keep the battery well charged. On a Sunday I always go further afield usually along the top coast to Strathy or Armadale, that's about a 50 mile round trip. Never had bother with it yet.
