Heartwarming

I have been reading the posts of family & first cars & how they are remembered very fondly. I found thinking back to my first little FOrd POp strangely heartwarming.

What stirs your heart these days.?

Re: Heartwarming

Oddly enough, it can be something as daft as a smell or a sound that will trigger a memory and make me think 'awww'. My son asked me about something or other a few days ago and for some bizarre reason, it triggered a memory of his Dad and I on the motorway when we borrowed my Dad's Ford Classic for a weekend camping in Blackpool, sigh, happier times

Robert Junior, I've 'lost' the posts about the old cars, can you remind me where you read it please?

Re: Heartwarming

I'm an avid anti smoker but oddly the smell of golden Virginia tobacco takes me right back to feeling safe and warm sitting on my granddads knee. Strong smelling peppermint makes me anxious I always think of my mother when I smell it.
