I thought this was a pretty serious thread reflecting why people may have been affected by name-calling, but I see it has taken a different dimension, so now I'll retreat from the topic because I'm more than capable of reading between lines, and I don't go in much for sarcasm.

A co worker told me .. when his sister was young .. He used to call her
four eyes .. and all the siblings did it as well ...
Now they all wear glasses .. lol and she doesn't ...

I was so shy as a child I was bullied and I got called all sorts of things and had things thrown at me. The names have all been blanked out now, thankfully.

Now I get called all sorts of things on here, but all nice stuff. Puts a smile on my face when sometimes feeling down.

I prefer to know what people call me. Straight from the caller please. Call me anything you wish. If it's positive, I like it. If it's negative, it's like water off a ducks back. Simply because it defines the caller more than it would define me.
The only thing I might object to would be if you called me a liar. I hate being told lies and I never tell lies. White lies perhaps, but not in order to gain an advantage.
