Vandalism Destroys Landmark Lighthouse
I've been to Cape Meares Lighthouse twice since moving to Oregon nearly 4 years ago. It's a wonderful place to take the famly and wittness a piece of history. Vandals shot up this monument this past weekend destroying the 100 year old light that has protected shipping for so many years. What's wrong with people like this? Are they so self centered or mentally disturbed that they must destroy everything of beauty? There's now a $5,000 bounty on their heads. I'm sickened by this senseless act.Before

Sadly it's a sign of the times Bob, . . we have the same mindless yobs over here, . . millions of pounds were spent restoring the Union Canal and yesterday yobs drove a car into it, . . they thought the ice would take it's weight, . . the pollution from acid in the battery plus the engine oils etc will create havoc with the aquatic life, . . sadly none of them drowned.
