yes one never never wanted to stay in on a saturday night - end of whatever was friday and saturday was the wild night. usually stuff dance halls; sometimes a date at the cinema and a smooch in the back row ; pub crawling in days when it was safe to do so and then staggering home at some ungodly hour trying so hard not to disturbe mater and pater! or and vomiting on the kitchen floor!

I can't remember when I last went out on a Saturday night, must be yonks ago.I worked Saturdays on a rota for a good few years and also
worked part time in 4 different village pubs many years ago, but they were fairly quiet places where we all knew each other.
I've never liked loud music or noisy people, and not one for clubbing either - not even when I was younger, so it's not me age.
I guess I've always been a boring old f***.

Saturday night was party night when I was a teen and tweenie. Parties, pubbing, nightclubs, balls. I used to love deciding what to wear, dressing up, putting on some heels and perfume. We did all that again last year with various 50th birthdays. But these days the main dancing and dressy dos are on New Years eve or weddings. NYE isn't always a Saturday but it feels like one!|
