Re: To all you lovely Grans !

Ah I'm sorry to hear that Alan and Mags.
My two grandsons got me a framed photo of meself, them and the new grandson all together, the caption underneath reads "Grandads are just antique little boys" very true and I love it. I wonder would the grandma's like it if it said "Grandma's are just antique little girls", don't think so.

Think my grandmother was the base for the wicked witch of the west.

She was a nasty evil bitch.

Re: To all you lovely Grans !

My Nan was lovely she took us in when she didn't really have to and brought us up eventually giving my mum and dad a home too, I am not a proper Gran but my niece's little girl does call me Nan, which makes me very proud indeed.

Lovey quotes Patsy.

Re: To all you lovely Grans !

I only knew one set of grandparents, I think there was some sort of a "grown ups fall out" when I was little, never been told exactly.
I won't ever be a grandparent myself either, because my son never wanted kids so had the snip a long time ago. Not much I can do about that!

Re: To all you lovely Grans !

I never knew any of my Grandparents and i do feel it as a loss. Made worse by a massive family quarrel (religion) that split the family so few Aunts or Uncles around.
