It really bugs me because so many companies are doing this now and I don't want to be questioned on everything I buy.
You don't get someone lurking in any other shop doorway quizzing you about what you've just bought and wanting to know all the ins and out of what you thought of the goods and place of purchase, so I don't to have to expect to do it online either.
Does anyone else object to this?
I personally never answer them but I don't object to them.

You read elsewhere in these columns many people complaining about poor service but then when a company asks their customers a few questions, presumably to improve the customer's 'experience' they complain about that too.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't

Re: Online Purchases

I have no objection to giving my comments on a particular purchase , what does not ding my thing is the umpeen page questionnaires that companies put out with tick box questions like ; " on a range of 0 - 10 where 0 is low and 10 is high how would you rate the service you received from the staff who served you today (etc.) Always feel the object of the exercise is not to improve the companies performance, more to intimidate the staff.

Re: Online Purchases

I don't mind leaving reviews.
I tend to read as many as possible myself before buying an item

As with Explorer 11, I make a lot of use with marking the email as Junk Mail. It is quite effective as I never hear from them again.

Re: Online Purchases

Well after my new fridge was delivered yesterday, today I got a text on my mobile asking me to answer 4 questions on the delivery people! Each answer you sent was a separate text, so that means I would have had to PAY to send 4 texts to do their review. What a nerve !
