I keep my coffee jars and tea packets out in the open as I use them daily.

Is it a lot of trouble to take them out of a cupboard then?

Re: Who uses those sugar, tea and coffee jars?

It's a pointless task putting them into the cupboard in the first place. In my cupboard I have things like brown and red onions which need a cool, dark place.

On my kitchen counter I keep things like tomatoes, other fruit except bananas which I keep well away from other fruit, cereal and my tea and coffee. I don't keep a lot in my cupboards except oatcakes, soups, onions, potatoes, sauces and spices.

It's actually become a real pain deciding what to buy and from where as my illness means I could go back to hospital at any time and the food will perish. So, I always keep a little frozen food, tins of soup etc. I'm scared of buying a £50 Tesco online shop like I used to in case half of it goes off (even stuff in the fridge).

I'm going to try and go out tomorrow and buy about 3 days worth of food but it isn't easy. I don't like takeaways that much except as an occasional treat; I couldn't eat one every night.

I've got a large white china container on the worktop with tea bags in but everything else is in the cupboard. I used to have stainless steel canisters but they cluttered up the worktop too much so they put somewhere else, in a cupboard probably.

My Yorkshire teabags come in a large cardboard box, so it's easier to keep a small supply in a storage canister near the kettle and put the box away in a dry top cupboard away from the steam.
