I had the opposite today. A woman rang to find out if I had sustained any injuries in a recent car accident. When I pointed out that I wasn't in the car at the time, she put the phone down on me; no 'ok thank you' no 'sorry for bothering you', just hung up. She wasn't foreign either, she was Liverpudlian (sort of foreign I suppose)

I have several people who constantly interrupt when I’m talking on the phone, which I take as an insult. They’re not showing an interest in what I have to say, for one thing. And it’s rude, for another.Sometimes I just interrupt back and say ‘let me finish!’
