Conversation, to my mind is someone speaking, then pausing to allow the other person to respond, give their opinion, and tell their news. Some go on and on, not even pausing to take a breath let alone let other people give input.I have calls where people ask how I am, then don't bother to wait for a reply before telling me how they are. I have one who just launches into everything they want to share and at the end I realize they didn't even ask how I am.
I have taken to saying on being asked how I am, I reply, "not too good but I won't bore you with it" hoping they might think they might be boring too!
It doesn't work!

Frustrating isn't it .I have one friend who I ring on occasions and I manage to get no more than 12 words out and she takes the conversation . Her daughter and I both get fed up with it .
Basically it means she isn't interested in my chat and does not listen as hers is more important.
I've even told her she can talk a glass eye to sleep but it makes no difference

I used to have one friend who rattled on and on without taking breath , one time my phone battery died so I walked into the kitchen prised open the phone , replaced the batteries and guess what she had no idea id been gone for at least 2 to 3 minutes as she was still rattling06-03-2019, 02:57 PM
