I miss Slapton sands in August fishing for Bass and watching Orion passing over in the middle of the night.

I miss going home to Ireland to stay with my grandparents for school holidays. Put on the train to Liverpool - care of the guard. Met there and taken to the boat by a B & I stewardess - who delivered me safely to Grandpa at Dublin the next morning. Quite an adventure for a six year old.

You wouldn't let a child do it these days!

I miss the old fashioned lights on Christmas trees. They were so much more atmospheric than the current LEDs.
