Thanks d00d, I think I will go for the Philishave ...... can anyone explain which would be better, the Wet & Dry or the Dry model?

Depends really mags, does he like wet shaving..? or will he use it dry, if it’s a gift and he has no idea he’s getting it, you can’t really ask him can you, I don’t wet shave with mine all that often, but it’s nice to have the option

Ahh... thanks Primus, as you say it's nice to have the option of either wet or dry.

I used to use my Philishave in the shower so perhaps that is what it means by "wet". It also made cleaning it much easier, basically I just held it up to the showerhead.

It was all in the instruction sheet. When I bought it I hadn't realised this was possible, made a big difference to me - so convenient.

It doesn't really matter which shaver one gets, they all will give you a buzz.
