Look at other countries we deal with that have huge human rights issues, such as India, China, Saudi etc. Do you honestly believe that the world sees the UK tearing up an EU treaty worse than say the issues in Egypt or Hong Kong ?

Most countries outside the EU don't even have a trade deal with the EU
Hi

It is nothing to do with the EU, it is to do with securing new Trade Deals.

Your not making sense.

The withdrawal treaty would not have been ratified through parliament anyway if it was torn up. We have every right as a sovereign nation to do that - we are leaving the EU.

What has that got to do with trade deals, bearing in mind we are a member of the WTO ?

The Treaties are all unlawful and unconstitutional. They should be ripped up and repealed as a matter of course. Sadly our corrupt politicians won't do that.

No treaty can be irrevocable as you explain Realist, you just have
to look at Trump for the most recent examples?
UK is in the position of having signed committments several
years ago without due consideralion ot consequences!
That cannot mean that we are bound ad infinitum to honour these
bad deals, just suppose you were renting a propety long term
and you could no longer afford the rent???
Do you think EU would allow us to remain if we couldnt pay the
rent?

It was nothing to do with affordability, it was because we were paying far too much foreign aid to the EU in the first place.

I've seen very little said about how such disasters could be prevented.
I think you are right .

Who told me the UK was the fifth biggest economy in the world? And you wouldn't be able to pay a misery 11 bn?
Take your example from those proud grecians, paying their due and debts.
