Re: More Roses

You have some lovely plants Mups. I really like the "for your eyes only" rose. Not seen one quite like that. Everybody needs some roses in their garden. Ours are at their best at the moment - all in the ground. I might try growing a couple in pots if they do as well as yours seem to do.

Oh it's a Floribunda, thanks Mups.

The reason I asked was - way back in January I bought a bare root rose twig from the pound shop.

I never thought it would grow but it has. However it looks nothing like my other rose leaves and not having flowered yet I began to wonder if it was a rose at all.

I photographed the leaves with my plant app & it told me it was a Briar rose.

The leaves look just like yours, that's why I asked.

I'm getting quite excited to see if my £1 twig will flower.

Re: More Roses

I love pinkish/ yellow Roses. They remind me of rhubarb and custard and usually smell really nice. Lovely display Mups.

Not sure Carol, but I think a briar rose maybe more like a dog rose, or wild rose.

I saw the yellow one you posted the other day and it looked very fresh and pretty.

I don't know how I missed these - they are so pretty. Soft colours...I like your Dianthus (and guardian pig!)
