Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

So cross. Just signed into Asda to add a few things to next week's order only to discover that they claim I hadn't finalised it so they cancelled it. Booked another for 3rd April but still can't finish the checkout - and can't get through to the helpline. Grrrr! Think I'll go to town early tomorrow and forage.

Overcast and damp here but still walkers on the beach .
My grandson got home from USA ok but was put on lockdown in the hotel in NY for the last few days and then ushered through the airport and not able to buy a drink nor duty-free !

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Expedition to the local Co-op this morning. Managed to get most on my list except for milk! Luckily I can manage for a bit and one of my carers will try and get some for me tomorrow. I was quite shocked at how empty the shelves and freezers were, but as I was departing a Co-op lorry pulled in, so let's hope that will fill some shelves up for other folks. That poor critical care nurse brought tears to my eyes this morning.

One thing we're not going to go short of is eggs. Several big sheds of laying hens locally and they have their own little hut to sell from in the village.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Tesco just delivered and I was very pleased . The man didn't come in but all the food was in bags so I just carried them in. Some things I ordered weren't available so they sent me more expensive things at no extra cost so great

Not a bad day . I'm wondering if my daughter will call down . She hasn't rung yet . My handyman will take recycling down if she doesn't
Bit of a blow that the soaps wont be on as often!! Keep safe xxx

Hope your foot is better and you've managed to get a sleep-Jac.
Got all i needed in Morrisons-even eggs.Strange to see two security guards walking around the store, there's usually one at the entrance looking at the cctv.
Lovely to be able to dry the washing out on the line.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Lovely day today. Had a load of washing blowing in the sun and wind and didn't have to put the heating on until 4.30 pm. The lambing crew arrived this morning with empty cake tins and casserole, luckily I had a cake for them - and a tin of chocs left over from Christmas. Will do them a turkey/chicken curry tomorrow. I've downloaded Wolf Hall on to my i-pad so am attempting to get to grips with that.
