Barry, Thanks for your tip but this taste is even there on the first boiling.
I read, it’s to do with the lubricants and chemicals used to coat the inside of the kettle, to prevent rust. Even after several boilings you never get rid of the horrible taste in the water.
I won’t buy a plastic kettle either, as l can taste the plastic.
