Not so much not deep enough, but more probably not remote enough to avoid detection. The same would apply to Trident, Poseidon or Polaris.

Certainly, though, they would prefer to go beyond the continental shelf for greater freedom of movement and larger 'hiding places'!

EU sources said western coastal states with a strong fishing interest wanted Barnier’s text to be clearer that the EU would seek to maintain the same access to British waters, and the same quota shares for 100 types of fish that swim in shared seas.
France and Denmark, along with*Belgium*and Portugal, said the text on fisheries needed to be stronger, before ministers approve Barnier’s mandate at the end of the month. A revised text is expected by the end of the week.https://www.theguardian.com/politics...s-to-uk-waters

Notice the netherlands are not among those wanting a tougher stance? We have found a better solution.

I think in their positions, the EU countries should be very embarrassed at their behaviour. What's more, it confirms all that we have discussed about our importance to the other EU countries and the fears they now have that we are leaving.
