New kitchen ordered

Mrs p has long complained about her ( our) kitchen, it is small, but it’s too late to move house ( for us) so, yesterday we went and ordered a new kitchen, it’s all going to be professionally fitted, as I don’t have the time, or tbh the skills involved, our kitchen is 30 years old, I changed all the doors a few years ago, but the carcasses are the same as when we put them in when we firs5 moved in, because it’s so small, we’ve had to compromise on a few things, the dryer will have to go in the garage, for instance, but an extra cupboard will go in it’s place, the cookers going, and the microwave also, as we’re having an induction hob, and built in oven and microwave above, it will give a little more worktop space, a bit of work for me to do is to remove the tiles an£ maybe sort out some of the sockets, but we’re quite looking forward to it...

Re: New kitchen ordered

having just had an induction range cooker installed the difference is amazing. Once you have to right pots and pans for it keeping the top clean is a doddle. No more hot surface to get burned on and spilled stuff doesn't cook

Can I suggest you get a hot air fryer? Sue was well anti having one until persuaded. now she cooks a lot of stuff in it and wow does it taste better or what. One advantage for you is it doesn't take up much space, as the picture below shows.
This is the one Sue got and she loves using it

Yes rs, a hot air fryer is a consideration as we’ll have a bit more space

Re: New kitchen ordered

We had to throw out all our pots and pans and buy new that worked on an induction hop, normal ones won't work. Bet your excited about the kitchen upgrade though.

Yes, although it’s a very small kitchen, technology in kitchen design has moved on considerably

Re: New kitchen ordered

Know what you mean by a small kitchen. This is ours not very big but suffices

which also has a utility room

Sorry about photos but not much room to get decent shots even with a very wide angle lens

Re: New kitchen ordered

got a new sink unit supposed to be fitted tomorrow. When we had that window fixed (just another of the things needed doing) he stood on the sink and it distorted.Had a "cowboy" plumber to to a quick fix but it still leaks around the joints Each bowl insert is serparate with a plastic seal to rest on. So ordered a complete all in one sink the same as already got

Re: New kitchen ordered

Suppose so.At least big enough for Sue to miss me when throwing stuff

But then again it is not exactly a small house the kitchen is in the east wing as would be described if a mansion
