Android emulator

An Android emulator is a bit of software designed to make Android programs run on a Windows operating system. Why do that? Well, either for the hell of it or to run an Android app (or game) at a larger size than it is on a small tablet or telephone screen.

I installed an Android emulator called 'BlueStacks' as an experiment and it seems to work well apart from it taking a while to load. The software uses Android 7 at present but I expect there will be updates. Playing 'Word Chums' on a Windows computer seems strange. It's normally only available on Mac and Android.

One thing that's always surprising in Word Chums is what counts as a word ..and sometimes, it doesn't always allow a word that you think it should.

When a word on the screen is touched and held, the meaning of the word is given. According to Word Chums, 'fe' is a Hebrew letter. We live and learn.
