I read somewhere a few days ago that this might happen, Dongle.
They said same as you, that it is because so many people are at home during the day now.

If that is the case, it could get even worse next week when all the schools are closed too.

Re: Anyone having internet connection problems?

I rang Talk Talk as I was having the same problem it kept dropping out but when i did speed checks it was good speed...anyway after ages with the chap on the phone he told me it was a common problem with my old style router ....he is sending me an up to date router free of charge...I could have bought a more sophisticated one at a cost but the free one does the job just as well....so he told me.

I had a message yesterday to tell.me it had been dispatched so it might arrive today.......so funny that I'm excited about it.... I will keep you posted if it resolves the problem

In my experience, a new router can often "cure a multitude of ills" .....

For some people I know, the difference in performance between old and new routers was like going from "snail-mail" to "e-mail" .....

Not wishing to put a damper on it summer but I have the latest router too. You will experience a few problems over the first few weeks anyway (that's normal) but generally, after that, the connection is good. All seems okay so far today.

Re: Anyone having internet connection problems?

My Orbi Mesh router gave trouble and I've just had to go back to using the Virgin Media router with the wi-fi switched back on in conjunction with a wi-fi extender.

I'll be having another go at getting the Orbi working but I've had enough of it for now. Maybe it has just plain gone wrong.

This one;

I think you can upgrade at a reduced price or free when upgrading to fibre (The upgrade to fibre worked out cheaper than what I was paying).

''The TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub is available to buy right now, and if you’re an existing TalkTalk customer, or you’re thinking of signing up, the price drops to £30. If you sign up to TalkTalk's Faster Fibre package, then the Wi-Fi Hub is included for free (although there is a £30 setup fee)''.
