Still no sign the EU is going to end. It seems many in the UK want to return, but the UK is no longer welcome. Funny that....
You are flogging a dead horse Solasch.....The EU is finished, or at least it will be when we've sorted out this nasty virus...

On the contrary, after the corona crisis is over, the EU (as a trade organisation) will be needed as never before. I think the UK will be desperate to get a trade deal with them by then.

Personally, I'd close all the airports and brick up the chunnel....If we've learnt one thing from this, it's bugger the world and start to produce our own stuff...What good is trade and global travel if half of its citizens are going to get zapped by a virus every year.....

OGF influenza returns every year and kills a number of people. In 2014/15 there were 28.000 casualties in the UK
2017/18 it 20.000.
https://www.gov.uk/government/statis...al-flu-reports

Coronavirus up till now has caused 223 deaths. Why close the borders? Even one tourist returning from italy carrying the virus is enough for a spread over the whole of the UK.
Keep a perspective!

Ask Macron he is the one threatening it.

Meanwhile, looks like its Russia to the rescue for Italy - there is no more solidarity in the EU.

He'd have to get about a bit to spread it all over the UK Solasch , and wouldn't he be to poorly to travel if he had the virus.....Assuming it was a bloke...

Seriously though, why wasn't there all this fuss last year, or in 2017/18..? Lots of people have always died from an outbreak of a virus, and it's usually the elderly...
