I predict shelves empty of booze tomorrow, perhaps they'll leave the loo rolls alone!

Re: Everything shut down now

Hi

Some of the responsible places have shut down already in response to this evenings announcement.

I have just had an email from AMF Bowling that they are closed from 7pm tonight.

As Boris said the laws are already in place.

Anyone not shut down by midnight will have a Closure Order served.

Licensing Officers and EHO Staff are out in force tonight, it is not a Police Function.

I believe the next move is the closure of non essential shops like hair dresser, Florists, Ironmongers etc;. We really will have our own ghost towns now.

OK for families and couples providing company at home....but not for folks like me living alone with no close relatives.

The days are going to be very long....but needs must.

Hi

Yes, that is a huge problem.

I have my son with me, but he is a severe epileptic who cannot drive or even ride a bike.

Being on your own can be very scary.

Just suspended my gym membership for 3 months, hopefully I'll still be alive and get back to gym after that but who knows what the future holds, could be 6 months could be a year

Re: Everything shut down now

I think this was always on the cards but they knew there would be a total meltdown if everything had been implemented all at once. That's why they are doing it bit by bit each day.
