Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

DM, the Pedals are there for it to sort of qualify it as an electric bicycle. My Sur ron is a road legal electric motorcycle, registered with DVLA, the Bomber once fully assembled will also be road legal, and the pedals swopped for foot pegs.

Here are the spacers now fitted, as you can see the rear caliper mounting bracket is now about 8mm further away from the disc so, spacers are used between the swing arm and the caliper bracket to line things up.

The Bomber Battery, this would power a few Mobile Phones.

Battery with controller temporary sitting on it as a trail fit, got to work out a way of fixing the controller independently

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

Made my own spacer for the rear caliper mount but its still about 3mm short. I will pack out the distance with washers then, when bang on take a measure and order spacers accordingly.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

The controller has been bolted to a metal case and inverted under the frame. Two 1/2" self tappers hold the case on the one side, on the side with the G clamp I need 2 X 3/4" self tappers which i will collect later, then, the wiring up can start.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

Nice looking machine Spitty, is it classed as a pedal cycle or a motorcycle?
