Re: Female Doctor Who

I sometimes saw the monsters in dr who as a child as far less scary than people so when they go back or forward in time to historical events such as the punjab it seems right to me that humans are the monsters.

No, not Davros, this one was like a big Jabba the Hutt type blob who was schizophrenic due to genetic meddling. The Daleks (ex-Kaleds) were small human hand sized creatures that were inside the metal Dalek machines. This one was a lot bigger.

Here's the bugger just for you. Sensitive souls shouldn't watch.

Ah yes, I remember now.

Still, the machine I was referring to was nothing to do with the Daleks and, I think, was made on Earth as a sort of war machine. The only similarity to Daleks was that it was a scary metal machine. Also, I seem to remember it was purely mechanical and didn't contain a living being.

EDIT:
Yes, here we are: MECHANOIDS!

The Daleks used to scare the bejeezus out of me. Still do in a way.

Re: Female Doctor Who

Hi

I did not like today's episode.

A distinct lack of science fiction.

Switched off halfway through and took the dog out. Seems I’m not missing anything.

Re: Female Doctor Who

After last week's bland plot and knowing this one will be another preachy episode I don't think I can face watching any more, so I'll skip the rest of this series. I like the actress, I like the idea of a female Dr. Who. I don't like the scripts or the way they want the Doctor to be played. I'd prefer a series all about Missy, to be honest, because she was great!

The Daleks were very scary, couldn't happen now though, all those inefficient light bulbs.
