Prep work first, LD! Lots. But getting there, yes. Just looking at paint charts.

Re: The bedroom

The prep work is the worst part IMO but has a great impact on the finished effect.

Oooh exciting Jazzi...are you paper and painting or just painting? Any idea of the colours you fancy? I love the 'afters' of decorating, but hate the 'doing' of it now

And, I've always loathed papering, although it's tons easier now we have paste-the-wall wallpaper

My sinuses don't appreciate the smell of paint and paste tho

Re: The bedroom

Hi Pesta, I'm just painting. I have never got the whole 'wallpapering' lark, as you only have to strip the stuff at a later date! I've got Wilko's 'Cloudless' silk and friend suggested going over with white first to get rid of the dark blue.

Tomorrow morning I'll do the ceilings (to include the hall, as I'm getting new carpet there too), and in the meantime will get the curtains down and hopefully in the washing machine. The net will be thrown due a large hole! Replacement is in the drawer.

Once I've given one coat to the ceilings I'll start on the walls with the white.

Let's see how long that takes me.

(In another thread I did report that this afternoon I'd sugar soaped the skirtings and window sill.)

Still undecided on colour for hallway. Disappointed I can no longer get the original any more (coffee).

Applying the second coat of white.

Sorry, I seem to be upside down!
