Fortunately I monitor my bills and usage carefully, Scottish Power switched me to a different tariff without telling me and argued that I had been notified by letter when I hadn't.
I stay with edf as I am fairly happy with my bills. I am all electric, use mini ovens for cooking, and have overnight storage radiators and E7 for hot water. During winter months it can be about £200 for the quarter. I don't think that's too bad.
