Do you recognise this bird.

I snapped this on our walk today, does anyone know what it is ? I had to blow it up quite a lot hence the fuzziness.

Re: Do you recognise this bird.

Looks a little like a young female pied wagtail..but it should have more white on its face and a black bib..

You need to put the original photo on to be able to tell. To fussy.

This is the original photo and I would say the bird is about the size of a small moorhen.

OH said it may be a Dipper. He cannot tell proper because of the position of the bird.

I think it might be a dipper. It was difficult to judge it's size considering the distance it was from us.

Alan, it is too big for a Dipper.

Looking at the long beak and legs it could be a young Willet.

Re: Do you recognise this bird.

Looks like a baby Coot Alan, same size as a Moorhen, just different colours. You have to look at the beak, its very pointed like a Coot,
if not I dont know laugh

I agree with BowieEyes, it looks like a young coot to me also.
