Hair loss !

Due to stress Pats is losing her hair. What is left is thin and dry... This has made me even more stressed - not good, have tried so many products to no avail. UJ - you mentioned bay rum - have just ordered that !
Any suggestions would be very welcome.....Pats

I am lucky that I still have a full head of hair.

I use a product called 'Amla Oil'

It may not be suitable in your case but it might be worth trying it for a few weeks.?

Can I ask has pats been checked for anaemia ? I was losing hair fast and what I had was dry and breaking, went to the doctor and she straight away tested me for anaemia and said she was amazed I was still walking around I was so anaemic - course of iron tablets halted the loss and two courses later I had my full head of hair back in much better condition. So just over 9 months from despair to luschious locks again.

Thanks Julie - I used to take B12 and stopped for a multi vitamin, so will get some B12 this week...
Maybe stopping contributed, I was taking B12 for medical reasons...

Maybe your doctor could get you an appointment with a Trichologist.

Hi there Janela - thanks for your post, I've seen a couple of docus re - trichologists, just wasn't impressed, as for my doctor, getting an appointment is one thing, getting the guys interest is another - he looks glazed and spaced out mostly.... its a tough job I know...
Years ago - they could give more time... better then..

Pats have you ever been checked for Thyroid deficiency?

You can have some of my hair, I have lots even it placed I would prefer not to have any

Do you like Almonds, a small handful a day may help and 2 Brazil nuts for the selenium .

Thanks Meg - I will consider the thyroid check, I'm sure it is stress as it coincides with that... I could have offered my hair last year, thick and wavy it was, always had very strong, good hair, has been such a shock....
I've added Almonds to my list...

When my dogs hair looks dry I add a little olive oil to there food for a week or so soon has then looking shiney again.... maybe it will work for tigers too ;0)
